The world has changed. Whether you like it or not, we will be having to keep at a distance most likely into next year. Disney World has even issued a statement saying they might not expect to reopen until Fall 2021. Social distancing means normal activities such as pot lucks and park-wide campfires will be out of the question. So, what can you offer your guests to keep them entertained but also at a safe distance from one another? Here are 5 ideas for the Summer months.
Water Gun Fun
If you have in your budget to provide guests with loaded water guns, this would be a great way to get out a little frustration and have some fun. To make sure guests stay at a safe distance from each other, provide sections where guests have to stay in. You can let guests spray each other, or provide buckets to fill, etc., in the middle of all participants to fill. First group that completes the task wins.
Fishing Tournaments
Fishing is already a social distancing sport. To provide a little extra incentive, you can give prizes to first catch, biggest catch, most fish caught, etc. Just make sure people stand far enough apart.
Scavenger Hunt
This one gets a little tricky as you cannot have guests running into each other during the hunt. To keep this from happening, you can time each team and give them staggered start times. So not everyone is touching the same things, tell them to take pictures in front of places around the grounds instead of collecting anything to win. The fastest team wins.
Christmas in July decorating contest
Everyone loves Christmas and what better way to celebrate than in July. You can hold a contest for best-decorated RV.
Movie Night
When throwing a movie night, make sure you have sections in front of the screen that are clearly marked and 6 feet apart. You also need to make sure there are paths guests can find and use to walk around if they have to go to the bathroom or leave to go back to their campsite.
